Abstract:
To notify users using different presence servers of updates on each other's presence information when a plurality of presence servers share a DB server.
The DB server has a presence server management part and registers connected presence servers. When an arbitrary presence server changes the contents of a DB, the change is notified to the other registered presence servers. The notified presence servers check whether there are users to whom the changed information should be sent, and if there is any, access the DB server to acquire the changed information and send the information to the requesting user.
