Abstract:
To solve the problems wherein if all the information necessary for a SIP server to connect/disconnect a session between communication terminals is stored in the memory of the SIP server, a large capacity memory must be loaded on the SIP server, and if all the necessary information is stored in an external database, on the other hand, access to the database takes time.
A SIP server, when receiving a REGISTER message from a communication terminal, copies in memory only information necessary to process messages to be received from the communication terminal out of information stored in an external database. The SIP server also stores in memory information included in the REGISTER message.
