Abstract:

To improve a heat, friction and alcohol resistance, etc., of an image layer by an electrostatically charged liq. developing method by forming a top coating layer on the image layer.

An image layer by an electrostatically charged liq. developing method and a top coating layer are successively formed on a body to be printed. The top coating layer is formed on the image layer by coating with top coating varnish prepd. by dissolving or dispersing one or more kinds of resins such as nitrocellulose resin, chlorinated rubber resin, polyamide resin, vinyl chloride- vinyl acetate copolymer resin, acrylic resin, urethane resin and alkyd resin in water and/or an org. solvent. The thickness of the top coating layer is 0.5-10μm, preferably 1.0-5.0μm. The top coating layer is formed after the surface of the image layer is subjected to corona discharge treatment or plasma treatment or a resin primer layer is formed on the image layer.
