Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To industrially, advantageously and simply produce a stable cellulose based deodorizing agent having high deodorizing function at a low cost by adding an alkaline material into a ferrous compound solution, in which a cellulose fiber consisting mainly of natural pulp is dispersed, to adjust pH to a prescribed range and molding by a wet molding method.
SOLUTION: The cellulose fiber consisting mainly of natural pulp is dispersed in the ferrous compound aq. solution. The solution is adjusted to pH 6.5-7 by adding the alkaline material. By the operation, the yield of ferrous ion on the cellulose fiber consisting mainly of natural pulp is remarkably improved. The pH adjusted dispersion is molded by a wet molding method. The cellulose based deodorizing agent to be molded is formed into various shape in a range where the deodorizing function is kept. For example, a sheet like material, a granular material, a paper like material by paper making, a non-woven fabric and the like are mentioned and the sheet like material is molded by a usual paper machine and the granular material is molded by, for example, a rotary granulator.
