Abstract:
To provide a production method of a vinyl acetate resin emulsion diminished in a residual monomer smell without suddenly increasing of viscosity.
An ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer as a seed is seed- copolymerized by dropping a vinyl acetate monomer in the presence of a protective colloid of polyvinyl alcohol to form the vinyl acetate resin emulsion, wherein ammonium persulfate is added after the vinyl acetate monomer is dropped.
