Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide such a plastic optical sheet that even when a pattern electrode and outer leads of controlling ICs are connected altogether by thermocompression bonding, no trouble is caused but the sheet shows excellent thermal dimensional stability, by specifying the layer structure.
CONSTITUTION: This optical sheet consists of a hard three-dimensionally crosslinked layer (H) having high softening temp. and comprising a non-imide resin having ≥H surface hardness by JIS K5400 (under 100g load) and ≥130°C thermal deformation temp., core layer (V) having gas barrier property, and adhesive layer (A) comprising a hardened material of nonsolvent type hardening resin. These layers are laminated to form a structure of H/A/V or H/A/V/A/H. Since the hard three-dimensionally crosslinked layer (H) having high softening point is formed as the surface layer, such a problem is avoided that when a patterned electrode and outer leads are connected with an anisotropic conductive sheet inserted between these by thermocompression bonding, conductive particles do not collapse during thermocompression bonding but the electrode substrate is dented by the conductive particles. The layer (H) consists of, for example, vinylbenzyl imidazole, phenoxy bromide resin, and phenoxy resin.
