To provide a projector capable of effectively cooling an optical element.
A projector comprises: a first light modulation element; a second light modulation element; a first air inlet, which is arranged at a first position outside a first space that a surface of the first light modulation element faces so that the first air inlet faces the first space, to blow air in a first direction toward the first space; a second air inlet, which is arranged opposite to the first air inlet and at a second position outside the first space so that the second air inlet faces the first space, to blow the air in a direction opposite to the first direction toward the first space concurrently with blowing the air through the first air inlet; a first air outlet, which is arranged at a third position outside the first space so that the first air outlet faces the first space, to exhaust at least a portion of the air in the first space; and a first guidepath which guides the air exhausted from the first air outlet to a second space that the surface of the second light modulation element faces.
