Title:
PROTECTION STRUCTURE OF ENGINE FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM COMPONENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017008769
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently protect a fuel supply system component such as a high-pressure fuel pump 63 without separating from a head cover 5 by a protector 8 even if receiving a collision load F.SOLUTION: A protector 8 comprises: a main wall 80 which covers a fuel supply system component from an input direction (load input direction) of a collision load F; a fastening part (segment 83) which is fastened to the head cover 5 at one side of an arbitrary direction (orthogonal direction) which intersects with the load input direction; and the other end (lower end 82d of a right-side wall 82) which approximates a heavy thickness part (flange part 50) of the head cover 5 at the other side of the orthogonal direction, and has a prescribed clearance. At the input of the collision load F, the other end abuts on the heavy thickness part of the head cover 5, and supports the collision load F together with the fastening part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
