To provide a method for production of a pseudo fingerprint pattern that can be used in place of the fingerprint pattern of a user by producing a specific function that includes N pieces of parameters consisting of optional numeric characters and having complicated curved surfaces in a three- dimensional space and cutting the function at optional spaces and on plural planes to obtain a striped pattern, i.e., a pseudo fingerprint.

A pseudo fingerprint function Z is defined as S1 and generates N pieces (N: an integer) of parameters consisting of numeric characters of a constant or random number to be defined by f (X, Y) (S7). The function Z is also identical to a function including N pieces of parameters consisting of numeric characters of a constant, random number, etc., and has a complicated curved surface in a three-dimensional space. Then a complicated striped pattern is shown when an X-Y water surface contour line is set in a Z-axis direction and at a proper space ΔZ. This striped pattern is uses as a pseudo fingerprint pattern, and a different pattern is surely obtained as long as the different value (e.g. 0.1) is defined by the function Z.
