Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a long fiber reinforced radio wave absorbing material excellent in a radio wave absorbing property by a method wherein a dielectric property of an inner layer is controlled by adding dielectric loss material to the inner layer.

CONSTITUTION: An outermost layer 3 is formed by impregnating inorganic fiber with resin. An inner layer 2 which is formed of organic or inorganic fiber, whose electrical conductivity is 10-6∼10-3S/cm, is impregnated with resin mixture composed of resin which is dispersedly mixed with dielectric loss material 50% by weight at its maximum is provided under the outermost layer 3. An innermost layer 1 formed of carbon fiber, metal fiber, or metal net reinforced resin, a metal plate, or a resin plate which contains metallic powder is provided under the inner layer 2. By these processes, a long fiber reinforced radio wave absorbing material excellent in a radio wave absorbing property can be obtained.
