Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new pyrene type compound having enhanced distinguishing and separating power for asymmetric substances and exhibiting remarkable fluorescence property.
SOLUTION: This compound is expressed by the formula (either one of R1 and R2 is each H and the other is a hydrocarbon group; X is H or an active organic acid residue; the pyrene ring may optionally have an organic substituent group). For example, (S)-1-1,10-pyrenedicarboximido-2-propanol. The compound of the formula is, obtained by, for example, reacting anhydride of pyrenedicarboxylic acid with an aminoalcoholic compound of H2N-CR1-CR2-OH to obtain a dicarboxydiimide having H as X in the prescribed formula and carrying out the reaction of this compound with an active organic acid to form an ester compound having active organic acid residue as the X in the prescribed formula.
