Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a method for calculating an ink consumption used for recording by using a discharge amount stored on a body beforehand, an accurate ink consumption cannot be calculated because a fabrication tolerance of a recording head or discharge amount fluctuation upon use is not taken into consideration.SOLUTION: A measurement result of a test pattern is acquired, and a discharge amount from a recording head based on the acquired measurement result is acquired, and thereby an ink consumption used for image recording can be derived highly accurately.
