PURPOSE: To provide a resistance film method tablet which attain an input operation regardless of the pushed position in an input enable range as long as the pushing pressure is larger than a fixed level.

CONSTITUTION: A resistance film method tablet contains a pair of X and Y substrates which include the resistance films on the surfaces counter to each other and also a pair of electrodes formed at both sides of each resistance film. That is, a pair of electrodes 33 and 35 are arranged obliquely in an input enable area 36. Meanwhile the accurate contact resistance value is calculated from the detected position information regardless of the pushed position when the pushing pressure is measured in an input mode. Then it is judged whether the tablet is pushed or not based on the contact resistance value.
