Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for lapse confirmation which avoids deciding a properly prepared signature to be illegal and deciding illegally prepared signature to be proper in electronic signature. SOLUTION: A signature creation apparatus 2 transmits a public key certificate, a signature Sig1 created by coding a message with a secret key, etc. A lapse confirmation apparatus 1 stores a lapse list in advance. The public key certificate transmitted from the signature creation apparatus 2 is collated with the lapse list. When it is not matched with the results of collation, a signature Sig2 is created by coding with the secret key of the signature Sig1 and the lapse confirmation apparatus 1 and transmitted to the signature creation apparatus 2, which creates a signature Sig by connecting the signature Sig2 to the signature Sig1 and sends the signature Sig to a signature inspection apparatus 3 at the signature of the public key certificate.
