To provide a screen for protecting a windshield glass pane of an automobile, which is portable and which is highly storable.

A roof carrier 1 in which screens 2 can be accommodated (that is, which can incorporate the screen) is attached to the roof of an automobile. Each screen can cane to a stop when it becomes free after being pulled out, and is retracted into the roof carrier when it is once again pulled, so as to facilitate the use and accommodation thereof. The screen 2 is accommodated being folded in part in order to adjust the shape thereof to that of a windshield glass pane of the automobile (which has a substantially trapezoidal shape). A rubber magnet is provided to an edge of the screen 2 and is attracted to the body of the automobile during use. Further, adjacent screens are attracted together.
