To provide a rotor and a stepping motor that reduces a detent torque remarkably as compared with a conventional stepping motor by controlling a flux flowing through the contact part of upper and lower stators remarkably, and can thereby control variations in output torque or vibration noise remarkably.
A magnet 101 of a rotor 100 is divided into an upper magnet region 110 and a lower magnet region 120 and poles different from each other in the axial direction of a rotating shaft 102 are formed in the upper magnet region 110 and the lower magnet region 120, so that a flux flowing through the contact part 80 of upper and lower stators 40 and 50 can be controlled. Consequently, a stepping motor that controls variations in output torque or vibration noise remarkably by reducing a detent torque can be achieved.
