Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a medicinal compsn. for asthma treatment which consists of (S)-α-fluoromethyl histidine or its salt or ester as an effective component or is formed by combining the same with another anti-asthmatic agents and prevents or suppresses the basic progression of the asthma.
CONSTITUTION: This asthma treatment medicinal compsn. consists of the (S)-α- fluoromethylhistidine of the formula (R is H, a medicinally usable ester forming group) or its salt or ester as the effective component. The compd. into which 10 mg to 2 g the component described above as the effective component is more preferable. The compsn. is recommended to be used in combination with the antiasthmatic agents selected from a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, β2 working medicine, steroid agent, mediator free suppressor, LTD4 antagonist and PAF antagonist together with the effective amt. of the (S)-α-fluoromethylhistidine of the formula, its salt and its ester.
