PURPOSE: To enable a high-accuracy position signal, by regenerating the once recorded position detecting signal and rerecording the recording signal corrected according to the regenerated signal.
CONSTITUTION: The reference analog signal (er) formed from a pattern generator 14 is supplied to a write-head 7 through a recording amplifier 16 by placing a switch 15 in (a) position. A magnetic drum 2 rotates to regenerate the position detecting signal from a read-head 3 by rotation by an angle of β. The magnetic drum 2 gives to the regenerated signal (eo) which correspond to the time duration required by the rotation from a position of the read-head 3 to the write- head, i.e. through an angle of α and thus, a lag regenerating signal eo (d) is outputted. A computing unit 22 creates the corrected signal er (c) and after one rotation of the magnetic drum 2, a switch 15 is placed in the (b) position and the signal is supplied to the write-head 7 through the recording amplifier 16.
