Title:
SILVER HALIDE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL IMPROVED IN COLOR REPRODUCIBILITY AND COLOR FORMABILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02171745
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain cyan dyestuff images which satisfy all of dark fading, light resisting, color forming and spectral absorbing characteristics by using specific high boiling org. solvents in specific cyan couplers.

CONSTITUTION: At least one of the cyan couplers expressed by the formula I and at least one of the high boiling org. solvents expressed by the formula II are incorporated into a red photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula I, R and Y denote a hydrogen atom or substituent; X denotes a hydrogen atom or the substituent which is eliminated by reaction with the oxidant of a color developing agent; Z denotes the nonmetallic atom group necessary for forming a nitrogenous heterocyclic 6-membered ring by making ring condensation with a pyrazole ring. In the formula II, R denotes an alkyl group, alkoxy carbonyl group, alkylslfonylamino group, etc.; X denotes a halogen atom or a group which can be substituted with a benzene group; (m) denotes 0 to 4 integer. The spectral absorption of the cyan dye images is sharpened and the side-absorption is lessened in this way. The color reproducibility is thus improved.
