PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell module which secures the insulation quality of a periphery without reducing an area of an effective cell region and enables improvement of the adhesive force of a sealing material, and to provide a manufacturing method of the solar cell module.SOLUTION: In a solar cell module, an insulation area has a protruding part, which is made of a material different from a translucent substrate, on the translucent substrate.
