Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain in which position in one picture element the point of the center of irradiation is located accurately and to improve angular resolution, by utilizing the fact that the total value of the data of the neighboring picture elements are approximately indicated with sine wave signals and cosine wave signals. CONSTITUTION:A one-dimensional linear CCD 3 receives light passing through a slit 1 for receiving sunlight, receives driving clocks and sequentially outputs picture element data. Said CCD 3 is arranged at a position which is separated from the slit 1 by an appropriate distance at a right angle with the longitudinal direction of the slit 1. In this solar sensor, the total value of the neighboring picture elements is approximately indicated with a sine wave signal and a cosine wave signal. Therefore, the position of the center of irradiation point of the picture element, where the center of the irradiation point is present, is obtained as a distance from one end of the starting picture element in a picture element region comprising four picture elements including the picture element, where the center of the irradiation point is present. Thus, in which position of one picture element the position of the center of the irradiation point is present is accurately determined.
