PURPOSE: To easily perform retrieval and selection at high speed from a data base, where a lot of sound data are stored, and to easily perform retrieval depending on the fragments of contents of stored sound data and the retrieval and selection of required sound data at high speed.
CONSTITUTION: This system is composed of a storage device 105 for storing a file which stores sound data corresponding to the format of data and the related information, display device 101 for displaying the related information of plural sound data, pointing device 102 for inputting to the related information display picture of sound data, keyboard 103 for receiving the input of a user, computer 104 provided with a central processing unit to execute processing for displaying the related information of sound data, sound data input/output device 106 (such as cassette recorder, DAT or CD player) for inputting/ outputting sound data, and A/D converter 107.
