Title:
STABILIZED SUPERCONDUCTIVE WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2507905
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a stabilized superconductive wire of alloy type, which is stable against thermal disturbance and with which use of normal conductive metal is decreased in amount.
CONSTITUTION: In addition to an alloy type superconductive wire 1 and normal conductive metal wire 3, a compound type superconductive wire 2 is arranged to permit maintaining the superconductive state even though thermal disturbance is generated in a part of the alloy type superconductive wire 1. Even in the case a crack is initiated in the compound type superconductive wire 2, the specific resistance of the normal conductive metal wire 3 is decreased greatly by allowing the current to make shunt flow into the normal conductive metal wire 3, so that a stabilized superconductive wire is accomplished in which use of the normal conductive metal is decreased in amount to a great extent.
