Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer capable of preventing thermal degradation of an acrylamide polymer in various environment and a stabilized acrylamide polymer compsn.
SOLUTION: This stabilizer for an acrylamide polymer comprises at least one selected from among 5-nitrosalicylic acid, 2,4-hydroxy benzoic acid, 2,6- hydroxy benzoic acid, 4-amino salicylic acid, 5-methyl salicylic acid, 2,3-cresotic acid, 2,4-cresotic acid, and their salts, and this stabilized polymer compsn. is manufactured by compounding 0.01-20 wt.% this stabilizer to an acrylamide polymer.
