Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the estimating work quicker, and reduce a probability for a wrong estimation by a method wherein a reading frequency is reduced, and also, calculations are eliminated in the estimation of standard deviation values using a normal probability paper.
SOLUTION: This ruler has an equal space graduation part 11, a variable part 13 and a vertical fixed axis 12, and when the analysis of data is performed by using a normal probability paper or a similar probability paper using a distribution function wherein the longitudinal axis is a normal distribution, a regression line which is drawn on the probability paper is made to meet the variable part 13 of the ruler, and the value of a standard deviation is read by a cross point between the equal space graduation part 11 and the variable part 13 or the like of the ruler.
