Abstract:

To provide a stochastic arithmetic element capable of executing a differential absolute value arithmetic operation between signals including noise.

A comparator 5 receives outputs of signal sources 3a, 3b including noise and a voltage variation measurement unit 10 counts number of change times of High/Low outputs of the comparator 5 to obtain a value corresponding to a differential absolute value between an average voltage of a signal voltage 1 and an average voltage of a signal voltage 2.
