Abstract:
To provide a storage system capable of achieving appropriate operation according to a storage device status.SOLUTION: The storage system includes: a first storage device that provides a first volume to a host connected via a network; and a second storage device that provides multiple volumes including a second volume that is a remote copy destination of the first volume. The storage system includes: a storage unit that stores multiple policy sets that are the second volume of the second storage device and normative groups related to the service quality of other multiple volumes; and a policy selection unit that selects a policy set to be used from the multiple policy sets depending on the state of the first volume and the second storage device. According to such a structure and operation, a policy set corresponding to before and after fail-over, presence/absence of degeneracy, etc. is selected so as to properly perform operation of the storage device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
