Abstract:

To provide a stress reducing agent, particularly a drug for reducing the stress of a newborn baby which is made in consideration of such a point.

It has been found that breast milk or a component derived from breast milk has an action on the reduction of the above stress. Thus, a method of reducing the stress of a newborn baby when a mother is separated from her baby by exposing the baby to the smell of breast milk is provided. The stress reducing agent comprises breast milk or a component derived from breast milk.
