PURPOSE: To obtain the subject sunscreen emulsion-type cosmetic having excellent storing stability, dermal stability and sunshine-screening effect by applying a specific bentonite thickener and esters of polyhydric alcohol and fatty acid to fine granular titanium oxide and dispersing.
CONSTITUTION: Fine granular titanium oxide is mixed with bentonite containing ≥100mg equiv./100g cation-exchanging sodium ion as a thickener, at least a species of dextrin fatty ester and cane sugar fatty ester, an oily material and water to afford the aimed sunscreen emulsion-type cosmetic. Adding to said components, further xanthane gum is mixed to improve dispersibility, then a cosmetic having more excellent various properties, namely, storing stability or organoleptic property, etc., is obtained.
