Title:
SURFACE TREATED STEEL SHEET HAVING SUPERIOR CORROSION RESISTANCE AND ADHESION TO PAINT FILM AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63109190
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of a steel sheet and the adhesion to a paint film by galvanizing the steel sheet with an acidic galvanizing bath contg. specified amts. of Co, Ni, Fe, Cr, etc., and by forming prescribed projections on the galvanized surface by phosphating. CONSTITUTION:An acidic galvanizing bath contg. 0.3-60g/l one or more among Co<2+>, Ni<2+> and Fe<2+>, 0.2-8g/l Cr<3+>, and 0.2-20g/l (expressed in terms of alumina) alumina sol is prepd. A steel sheet is galvanized with the galvanizing bath and phosphated to form many projections each having 0.1-10,000mum<2> area on the surface of the resulting zinc layer having 0.05-5mum thickness. A surface treated galvanized steel sheet having 20-80% by area of projections on the zinc layer is obtd.
