Abstract:
PURPOSE: To carry out mass-production of cystatin, by chemically or biochemically synthesizing cystatin B having known amino acid sequence and applying a recombinant DNA technique to the compound.
CONSTITUTION: A recombinant plasmid is formed by inserting a DNA containing cystatin B gene composed of a DNA sequence of formula into a manifestation vector and a host microorganism is transformed with the plasmid to produce cystatin B protein.
