Abstract:

PURPOSE: To interconnect a MODEM for a different interface to a terminal equipment by providing a signal conversion circuit between a connector for the MODEM and a connector for the terminal equipment so as to form the converter.

CONSTITUTION: A signal inputted to a MODEM use connector 1 of a converter 5 from a MODEM 10 is fed to a signal conversion circuit 2. The circuit 2 converts the characteristic of the signal outputted from a 2nd connector 14 of the MODEM 10 to convert the signal as a signal adaptable to a terminal equipment 20. In this case, the circuit 2 converts the voltage level of the signal inputted to the connector 1 to be a voltage level of the signal able to be inputted to the terminal equipment 20 and the converted signal is outputted to a terminal equipment use connector 4. Furthermore, a power supply circuit 3 supplies power to the MODEM 10 via the connector 1.
