Title:
INFORMATION SIGNAL RECORDING DISC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60639
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform and excellent recording and reproducing characteristic over the entire face of a recording disc by forming a protective film on a disc form base and forming a surface layer by coating on the protective film so that guide pits having trapezoidal or rectangular cross section are formed concentrically or in spiral at a prescribed interval.

CONSTITUTION: An information signal is recorded in various signal forms by irradiating a laser light onto an information signal recording thin film 11 through a resist layer 13 and a silicon dioxide film 12 with a laser light power in a degree that a resist material of the resist layer 13 is not sublimed. In this case, the information signal is recorded on a signal track being either a bottom 14' of the guide pit 14 or a part 15 of a disc upper face between the adjacent guide pits 14, 14 or both lower and upper faces as the signal track on which the information signal is recorded. Since the information signal is recorded by iradiating the laser light onto the flat information signal recording thin film 11 in this way, the uniform and excellent recording and reproducing characteristic is obtained over the entire face of the recording disc in comparison with a rugged conventional information signal recording thin film 5.
