Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve convenience of use with a carrier main unit made easily holdable in its refuge position, by constituting a point end part of a hook so as to be automatically stopped to a stop part of the carrier main unit, when the carrier main unit of a spare tire carrier is turned by a prescribed amount to a side of the refuge position relating to an opening/closing door.
CONSTITUTION: In this spare tire carrier 20 supported horizontally turnably to a rear side in a right side edge part in a rear opening part of a car body, a point end part of a hook 32 built in a hinge 15 is always brought into elastic contact with the periphery of a base end part in an arm part 21a of a carrier main unit 21 by a spring member 33, and into slide contact with the periphery of the base end part in the arm part 21a when turned the carrier main unit 21. When the carrier main unit 21 is turned by a prescribed amount to a side of a refuge position, by stopping the point end part of the hook 32 to a stop part 35 provided in the periphery of the base end part in the arm part 21a, turning to a side of a rear opening part the carrier main unit 21 is regulated, to hold the carrier main unit 21 in its refuge position.
