Abstract:

To provide waste treatment device and method for removing dioxins efficiently and inexpensively.

The waste treatment device comprises a supply port for supplying waste to a cylindrical heater, a paddle wing that is provided in the axial direction of the cylindrical heater and agitates, mixes, and transports the waste, and removes deposit to a heating surface, a number of gas supply openings that are provided at the paddle wing and blow an evaporation enhancing gas for making enhance evaporation of a harmful organic compound from the waste, a drive means for rotating the cylindrical heater or the paddle wing, and a dust removal means for taking out gas in the cylindrical heater by separating the gas from the waste.
