Abstract:

PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. excellent in heat resistance and mechanical strengths and suitable for producing an oven ware by compounding a wholly arom. polyester resin comprising specific repeating structural units with specified amts. of a fibrous reinforcement, a glass bead, and titanium oxide. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. comprises 40-80wt.% wholly arom. polyester resin comprising repeating structural units A, B, and C of formula 1, II, and III, respectively, 5-25wt.% fibrous reinforcement selected from the group consisting of a glass fiber and a silica-alumina fiber, 10-40wt.% glass bead, and 5-25wt.% titanium oxide, the sum of the fibrous reinforcement, the glass bead, and the titanium oxide being 20-60wt.% of the compsn. In formulas 1, II, and III, X is -O-, -SO2-, -S-, or-CO-; m and n are each O or 1; and substituents on an arom. ring are at the p<-> or m<-> positions to each other. The ratio (A:B) is (1:1)-(10:1); the ratio (B:C), (9:10)-(10:9).
