Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent valve opening control from being affected by preventing occurrence of a grind residue on the boundary of a common face of first and second cams different from each other in an amount of lift and phase.SOLUTION: In a common face setting step S11, a common face in a first cam and a second cam is obtained. In a first common-face grinding step S15 subsequent to a first cam grinding step S14, while the first cam and second cam are rotated, the common face is ground by traversing a grind stone such that the grind stone corresponds to the first cam and then to the second cam. In a second common-face grinding step S17 subsequent to a second grinding step S16, while the first cam and second cam are rotated, the common face is ground by traversing the grind stone such that the grind stone corresponds to the second cam and then to the first cam.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
