Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease man-hour and cost for developing updating software of an ECU to be updated.SOLUTION: G/WECU2 has an updating service function 251a, MCU updating functions 253a and 253b, an updating function transferring function 251e, and an update request transferring function 251f. When receiving an update request from an updating tool, the updating service function 251a is transmitted to an ECU3 to be updated by using the update request transferring function 251f, and the updating functions 253a and 253b are transmitted to the ECU3 to be updated by using the updating function transferring function 251e. The ECU3 to be updated writes updating data received from the updating tool via the G/WECU2 by using the updating functions 253a and 253b, so as to update the program.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
