Abstract:
To provide a head-up display device capable of expanding a display area of a virtual image while avoiding an increase in its size.SOLUTION: A head-up display device comprises an LCD projector and a housing, and projects distant display light and proximal display light to a windshield. The head-up display device displays a distant virtual image 39 and a proximal virtual image 29, which are visible from an eye box EB, on a distant display area 63 and a proximal display area 62 that have different distances from the windshield. In the head-up display device, a proximal field angle ωnc of the proximal display area 62 is made to be greater than a distant field angle ωfc of the distant display area 63 on at least one side viewed from the eye box EB.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
