Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently adjust components while sequentially charging materials to be melted containing a zinc-containing iron material.SOLUTION: An operational method of a rotary melting furnace in which a laterally installed cylindrical furnace body 1 is provided rotatably about a shaft center of the cylindrical furnace body 1, and an oxygen burner 2 is provided on one surface side of the cylindrical furnace body 1, in which a premelting step of forming a base molten metal 1B of molten pig iron in the cylindrical furnace body 1; a carburization layer forming step for forming a coating layer 1C of the carburization carbon material on a top surface of the base molten metal 1B by supplying the carburization carbon material to the cylindrical furnace body 1; and an insertion melting step of insertion melting in the base molten metal 1B by making a material to be melted pass through the coating layer 1C by supplying the material to be melted to the cylindrical furnace body are sequentially performed, and a step of additional carburization for additionally charging the carburization carbon material is performed during the insertion melting step, and the carburization carbon material used in the carburization layer forming step has a particle size larger than the carburization carbon material used in the step of additional carburization.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
