Abstract:
To provide a piezoelectric device having a cantilevered support structure that does not impair the characteristics and is easy to be manufactured.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric device 20 includes a piezoelectric vibrating piece 11 with a rectangular planar shape, a container 13 for mounting the piezoelectric vibrating piece, and a first fixing portion 21a and a second fixing portion 21b fixing the piezoelectric vibrating piece to the container near both ends of the first side of the piezoelectric vibrating piece. The height of the first fixing portion is made higher than the height of the second fixing portion part. The piezoelectric vibrating piece is mounted diagonally to the container by utilizing the difference in height between the first fixing portion and the second fixing portion, and a corner 11c located diagonally to the first fixing portion of the piezoelectric vibrating piece is mounted in contact with or in close proximity to the container.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
