Abstract:
The present invention is used in a ground surface recognition step for object augmentation in an augmented-reality service device, and provides an augmented-reality service device and method enabling guidance to be provided so that a user can easily and promptly identify whether an object to be augmented is a proper distance from the user during ground surface recognition. An augmentation-reality service device for providing a proper distance display of the present invention comprises: a camera for recognizing a ground surface and collecting data of the recognized ground surface; a ray casting unit for performing ray casting from the camera to the ground surface; and an image analysis unit for checking a conflict point with the ground surface data collected according to the ray casting, and measuring the distance between the conflict point and the camera to perform region classification according to the distance.
