Title:
CANCER PROGENITOR CELLS DEFINED BY GENES, AND CLASSIFICATION METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/195811
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for isolating brain cancer progenitor cells, comprising a step of identifying, in cells isolated from the subventricular zone, the expression level of: one or more proteins selected from the group consisting of NRXN1, XKR4, MAP2, SLC1A2, MEG3, TNR, NRCAM, PTPRZ1, LUZP2, RORA, PLP1, TF, MBP, CERCAM, TMEM144, PLXDC2, FTL, and LAMA2; or genes encoding same. The inventors have identified that, in brain cancer, especially in glioblastoma, in which discovery of effective therapeutic agents is difficult and of which prognosis and survival rate are very poor, factors function as highly reliable diagnostic markers and tumors are inhibited through expression regulation of the factors, and thus the present invention can be effectively used as a fundamental therapeutic composition for remarkably improving the survival rate of patients with glioblastoma, which is an intractable disease.
