Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a data transmission method and a communication device, which increase the bandwidth utilization rates of channels and improve data transmission efficiency. The data transmission method provided in the embodiments of the present application comprises: performing clear channel assessment on present wireless fidelity (wifi) channels to obtain a channel assessment result; according to the channel assessment result, determining a target channel, the bandwidth of the target channel being greater than 80 megahertz (MHz), and the bandwidth of the target channel being not the bandwidth of a present Wi-Fi channel; and sending data to a receiving end by means of the target channel, or receiving data from a transmitting end by means of the target channel.
