Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates than 4th generation (4G) systems such as long term evolution (LTE). The present disclosure relates to an electronic device in a wireless communication system and comprises a communication circuit and at least one processor operatively connected to the communication circuit. The at least one processor is configured to: receive downlink control information (DCI) from a base station; when information indicating a transmitted precoding matrix indicator (TMPI) is not included in the DCI and a combination of one or more variables indicates first polarization in a pre-configured table, transmit an uplink signal to the base station by using the first polarization; and when the combination of the one or more variables indicates second polarization in the pre-configured table, transmit the uplink signal to the base station by using the second polarization, wherein the one or more variables may include at least one among an antenna module, an operation band, or a channel used for transmitting the uplink signal.
