Abstract:
An image encoding/decoding method and apparatus are provided. An image decoding method according to the disclosure comprises the steps of: determining a prediction mode of a current block on the basis of prediction mode information about the current block acquired from a bitstream; determining a motion vector of the current block on the basis of a motion vector candidate derived from a peripheral block of the current block when the prediction mode of the current block is an intra block copy (IBC) mode; determining a prediction block of the current block on the basis of the motion vector; and generating a restoration block of the current block by using the prediction block. The motion vector of the present block can be determined on the basis of the information about the motion vector candidate and the size of the current block.
