Title:
METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF VARIETY OF HEVEA BRASILIENSIS, AND KIT FOR IDENTIFICATION OF VARIETY OF HEVEA BRASILIENSIS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2009/091074
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method which can identify the variety of a plant Hevea brasiliensis accurately and in a simple manner. Specifically disclosed is a method for identifying the variety of a plant Hevea brasiliensis, which is characterized by identifying the variety of the plant Hevea brasiliensis based on at least one criterion selected from the following items: the presence or absence of a DNA fragment which is amplified by carrying out PCR by using genomic DNA extracted from the plant Hevea brasiliensis as a template and using at least one primer set selected from the following primer sets: a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1 and a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:2; a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:3 and a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:4; a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:5 and a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:6; a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:7 and a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:8; a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:9 and a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:10; a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:11 and a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:12; a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:13 and a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:14; and a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:15 and a primer comprising the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:16; the length of the DNA fragment; and the digestion pattern of the DNA fragment with a restriction enzyme. Also disclosed is a variety identification kit for achieving the method.
