Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a substrate for surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy which has a metal film formed on the surface thereof, said method being characterized by comprising the steps of: immersing at least a part of a substrate in a mixed solution prepared by mixing a metal nano-particle solution containing metal nano-particles with an oil-in-water-type emulsion solution; pouring an oily solution into the mixed solution to form an oil/water interface; and pulling out the substrate when the metal nano-particles are accumulated on the oil/water interface, thereby depositing a metal film formed from the metal nano-particles on the surface of the substrate. By employing the method, it becomes possible to provide a substrate for surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy which can be manufactured at low cost and has a uniformly protruded and depressed surface structure.
