Abstract:
A method for realizing terminals management in the network device, includes: the network device receives the SNMP message that a network manager transmits to a terminal, and obtains the identification information of the message; when the network device receives the SNMP response message from a terminal, determines the network manager that the said response message should be transmitted to, then transmits it to the determined network manager. Thereby, this invention provides great convenience for the network device manages the terminal device, it realizes that one terminal can support the management of multi-NMS(network managers) when the network device transmits message with the said terminals each other by SNMP. Also, DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Management) devices can realize managing the terminals that have no IP address.
