Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor (1) that is resistant to cracking due to firing. The multilayer ceramic capacitor (1) comprises a stack (10) in which dielectric layers (20) and internal electrodes (30) are alternately layered. The stack (20) includes a first major surface and a second major surface that oppose each other in the stacking direction (T), a first side surface and a second side surface that oppose each other in a width direction (W) orthogonal to the stacking direction (T), and a first end surface and a second end surface that oppose each other in a length direction (L) orthogonal to the stacking direction (T) and to the width direction (W). External electrodes (40) connected to the internal electrodes (30) are provided on the first end surface and the second end surface of the stack (10). The internal electrodes (30) each include a main-opposing portion (301) and thin portions (302). The thickness of the thin portions (302) is less than the thickness of the main-opposing portion (301). The thin portions (302) extend from the ends of the main-opposing portion (301) in the width direction (W) to the first side surface or the second side surface.
